It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the 1st SKMC Respiratory Therapy Congress 2026, held under the theme “Breathing Innovation: RT Leadership in the Era of Advanced Life Support.” The congress will take place on 8–10 May 2026 at Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche, UAE.

As the inaugural edition, this congress is dedicated to advancing respiratory therapy practice and strengthening leadership in pulmonary and critical care. Aligned with the UAE’s vision of delivering advanced, technology-driven healthcare, the event will provide a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, innovation, and collaboration.

Bringing together distinguished experts, clinicians, and researchers, the congress will showcase the latest advances in AI-guided mechanical ventilation, ECMO and advanced oxygenation, pulmonary diagnostics and rehabilitation, along with pathways for the professional growth of Respiratory Therapists. Through engaging scientific sessions and interactive discussions, participants will gain practical, evidence-based insights aimed at improving patient outcomes in high-acuity clinical settings.

The program has been carefully designed for Respiratory Therapists and allied healthcare professionals, including nurses, pulmonologists, ENT physicians, family medicine specialists, neurologists, internal medicine specialists, emergency physicians, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, residents, interns, and medical students, all of whom share a commitment to excellence in respiratory care.
